Escalation of sanctions and economic and health terrorism against Iran will not lead to Trump’s victory, Vaezi wrote in a twitter account on Saturday, noting that the United States has no alternative but to revise its past false policies and make amends for them.
He slammed the persistence of the policy of racial profiling and knee on neck by the US, stressing that such measures will further isolate the American regime among the world public opinion.
In relevant remarks on Friday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the US is the ringleader of economic and medical terror against the Iranian nation.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry made the remarks in a Twitter account on Friday.
“From depriving Iran of its own financial resources for making ends meet, to banning delivery of the COVID19-related supplies for saving Iranians' lives, the US regime is desperately leading global campaign to use economic, medical terrors against Iranians,” the tweet said.
In relevant remarks, Iran on Thursday blasted the US sanctions against the captains of five Iranian oil tankers which carried fuel to Venezuela, stressing that such embargoes prove the failure of the Trump administration's maximum pressure policy.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday announced sanctions on five Iranian ship captains who delivered oil to the fuel-starving Venezuela.
In response on Thursday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi described the fresh bans as another “desperate” move by the US against Iranian individuals, and a sign of the miserable failure of the Trump administration’s so-called “maximum pressure”.
“Despite US pressure, Iran and Venezuela remain steadfast in countering unlawful American sanctions,” he said.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza also described the new sanctions as “an outburst of arrogance” and “more evidence of the Trump hawks’ hatred of all Venezuelans”.
