TEHRAN (defapress)- Turkish troops crossed into Syria and the US fighter jets were spotted in the sky over Manbij shortly after the Syrian Army announced deployment of its soldiers and military equipment in the strategic town in Aleppo province.

The local sources in Aleppo province said that the US warplanes were seen patrolling over Manbij just hours after the Syrian Army and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) agreed on Manbij.
Meantime, the US-led coalition helicopters were spotted over Manbij sky after the Damascus-SDF agreement.
The Syrian Army's General Command also confirmed that the Syrian Army entered Manbij according to a request by the town's residents and in accordance with Syria's national responsibility in preserving Syria's sovereignty.
The Damascus Army in a statement guaranteed full security for the residents of Manbij.
The spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) described the goal for Syrian Army's deployment in Manbij as protecting the country, and said that if Turkey enters any region it will never exit there.
On Friday, the Syrian Armed Forces' Headquarters announced in a statement that the Syrian Army entered Manbij in Aleppo province and hoisted the country's national flag over the key town.
The statement by the Syrian Armed Forces' Headquarters came after the Syrian Democratic Forces asked for the deployment of the government troops.
The Syrian Army entered Manbij town after the People's Protection Units asked the Syrian Armed Forces to enter the strategic town.
SDF Spokesman Ceyhan Ahmad also confirmed the Syrian Army's arrival in Manbij town.
The local sources in Northern Syria announced that the Ankara-backed militants are fortifying their positions around Manbij in a bid to attack the strategic town concurrent with US troops' withdrawal from there.
Manbij is in a critical situation after US President Donald Trump declared US forces' withdrawal from Manbij town.
